It's so sad that they are not with there mothers😢

When I grew up I lived near a famous zoo, but they only had Old world apes like Gorillas, Chimpanzees, and Baboons. And they had certain species of New world monkeys from Central and South America. I wish I would have known about Orangutans then, I may have changed my course of a future. Orangs are my favorite ape.

I worked in a preschool for few years, and the hesitation of the baby to meet the other kids and latching on to her caregiver, was so human childlike. even the expressions, the hesitation and then her sudden, sense of wonder in exploring.

They should teach all of them skills like this; unreleasables and releasables. They're inadvertently being taught (hopefully) that they don't have to be solitary. I'm sure there's lots of atypical behaviors (like fishing) they could benefit from learning that would increase their survival and happiness.
